About The Role:

The agency is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to work closely with the CTO and take technical ownership of significant Shopify projects. This is a hands-on technical leadership and solutions architect position suited to a Senior Shopify Engineer or Technical Lead who can move beyond implementing predefined requirements and architect complete solutions.

You will take ownership of projects from technical discovery through architecture, implementation, testing, and launch. You will assess business and functional requirements, identify technical risks, evaluate different approaches, and define solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and appropriate for Shopify.

This is a client-facing leadership role that requires exceptional communication skills and deep Shopify expertise. You'll own clients and outcomes, set your own priorities across them, and be judged on results. The right candidate is comfortable leading technical conversations with non-technical stakeholders, thrives on solving complex problems, and is excited about building tooling and workflows that make AI-powered delivery effective. This role reports to the CTO.

You will write, review, and debug code in this role. Our human engineers own and take responsibility for all the code we produce, regardless of the tools we use to produce it.

Commitment: Full-time dedicated engagement. Contractors welcome, but this must be your primary commitment, not a side project.

Location: Remote, with required availability during EST business hours and 2x yearly team onsite in NYC. Americas or Europe preferred.
